Badlands National Park
We explored Badlands National Park today.  I was in awe with the formations and the surreal look of the landscape.  We hiked around a bit but the badlands themselves were slippery and dangerous.

We drove through the park after seeing an orientation and hearing a ranger discuss safety around bison.  A visitor had been fatally injured the week before when he was trying to get a picture of the bison.  The bison walked up to him and the man did not get into his car.  The bison considered the man an invader and attacked him.  One bison walked right by our car.  I was amazed!  It was so huge!  I used my binoculars too, so I could watch the herds.

Tonight, we saw Mt. Rushmore in Keystone, SD, all light up on the way back to our campground in the Black Hills National Forest.
