	July 9, 2001 Erie Canal We left Cape Cod at 9AM and arrived in Weedstock, NY, just east of Buffalo at 4PM. We camped that night at the Riverforest Campground on the historic Erie Canal. Dad and I sat on the dock to do some fishing but the fish must have been fed well because I saw a huge fish but had no nibbles. The animals we saw included turtles, fish jumping and a Great Blue Heron.
